Puma x Undefeated Canvas Clydes

I sent off an email last night to Puma to see where these were going to be released in my home town. Then today the boys at www.Laced.com.au put up the below post. Yeah! I know i'll be in line for a pair of the white and blue clydes.
Undefeated have teamed up with Puma once again to collaborate on the world famous Clyde. This time, the Clyde gets the canvas treatment in four new colourways inspired by the warm weather and laid back attitudes of the West Coast, paying tribute to the California lifestyle. Features include; canvas upper, added ankle padding and support, Puma x Undftd tongue tag, alternate Form Stripe colours on the inside and outside of each shoe and an anti-microbial sock-liner so you ca rock ‘em without socks and they won’t get the stink!

Eye Candy

From time to time I'm going to post some photos with no descriptions at all. They will just be known as
"Eye Candy"
Things that make me go Hmmmm

Blinded by the Lights

"Blinded by the Lights" - Great song by "The Streets"
Thought I'd do a quick post about the light fixtures I currently have in our house.

First off I've got two of the Norm 69 sitting about our dining table.

And during the festive season I like to change the bulbs for a bit of festive cheer :-)

And finally in our lounge room I have a "Aloe" light by Jeremy Cole.
If you are a fan of his work you'll probably notice it is slightly different. I managed to save it from the rubbish bin as it had been damaged by someone hitting their head on it. All up it is missing one level of ceramic leaves. These lights normally sell for a few thousand dollars, so to get a stunning piece of work for free i was very happy!

Designer lighting

One of my real "Wants" for the house is a David Trubridge "Coral" pendant light fixture.

I first saw one of these kit set lights about 4 years ago. It was hanging in the stairwell at the entrance to a shop in Brisbane City (BNE) called Apartment (http://www.aptmnt.com/news/).

Ever since then I've been hinting to my partner that i want one. The trouble is trying to find some where to hang it in our house....I'm sure that I'll find room one day soon.

His kits come in a box half the size of a shoebox to be assembled, or you can usually get the store the assemble the light for a small price.

Below are some of David Trubridge's lights that recently appeared at "Wanted Design, NYC 2011".

I need more space!!

Well, not space but storage.

It's unbelievable how quick prices drop for external USB storage, I recall purchasing a USB 80gb HDD for 80 pounds! And the drives are getting smaller by the day as well!

Oh well, with anything I've purchased in the last few years I'm looking for something a little bit different then a standard USB key. Below are a few USB's that stand out from the rest.

A bit of bling!

I can see this one being used a lot.

The adeptly named "DataInjection".

Just to prove that not all data storage is getting physically smaller!

It's a pity the Lego Man isn't available in Australia and that it is only 2gb in size.

The LaCie keys are practical and well sized, especially the MosKeyto (ah, another play on naming) at the bottom.

Street Art - Vandalism or Art??

I recall doing an art piece back in my high school days with a similar title, expcept mine was titled "Graffiti - Art or Vandalism?".

I can't help but laugh when you hear of local councils putting up perplex over the latest "Banksy" to protect it getting damaged or tagged over. I also enjoyed the recent web article about King Robbo and Banksy (Google it if you've got a spare 5 minutes).

Anyhow, even though i've grown older i'm still a fan of graffiti. I'm also a fan of good design..in any format in life. It really helps to make you want to think out of the box when you are walking around town, or on your way to work, or even enjoying a day out with the family & friends.

Below are some pictures of some street art taken from www.StreetArtUtopia.com. Check it out, it's regularly updated with great work by Artist from all over the world.
